Reggae is the musical genre which revolutionized Jamaican music. When it emerged in the late 1960s it came as a cultural bombshell not only to Jamaica but the whole world. Its slow jerky rhythm, its militant and spiritual lyrics have influenced musical genres, cultures and societies throughout the world, contributing to the development of new counterculture movements, especially in Europe, the USA and Africa.

Reggae Society wants to bring together like minded individuals who share a love for and want to preserve Reggae Music. Our nights/dances are aimed at the more mature person. Dub skankers; two-steppers; those who still remember lover’s rock: those who can shake a little to the heavy beat of Soca: those who want to get away from the hardcore Bashment scene: And finally, those of us who miss the whole Reggae vibe that we have been sorely lacking in Liverpool.

Reggae Society nights introduce some amazing reggae Selectors/DJ's/musicians, from all across the country playing you the best in Lover’s rock, Revival, Reggae, Dancehall, Afrobeats, Soca; all of this with a splash of old school R&B. What more can you need?! You'll be soon dancing, sweating, and singing along!
